Michael Paul Dolinger, age 18, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 1999 at his home in Seven Mile Ford. He was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church in Rugby. An ardent Hokie fan, he was a 1999 graduate of Chilhowie High School and Smyth County Vocational School. He was employed by Food City of Chilhowie.
Surviving are his parents, Rick and Becky Dolinger of Seven Mile Ford; one brother, Richie Dolinger of Hollywood, Calif.; his maternal grandparents, Nancy and Marvin Reedy of Mouth of Wilson; his paternal grandmother, Emogene D. Wyatt of Chilhowie; a special friend, Catrina Irwin; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 22, at 2 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Rev. Charles Blevins and the Rev. Dennis Eller officiating. Burial followed in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery in Rugby. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Virginia Tech Athletics Fund, P.O. Box 10307, Blacksburg, VA 24062.
Seaver-Brown Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
